A great model tonight. Short, muscular, self-contained. Reminded me of our friend, Gordon. My favorite spotlighted here. Saying much with an economy of means, allowing the figure emerge from the paper.

Here below, four fifteen minute poses. Note the difference between using sienna and/or a darker brown conte pencil to define the figure. The darker line creates more contrast and definition. But is that what I want? Conté pencil highlighted with conté crayon on toned Canson pastel paper. 32.5 x 50 cm or 13 x 19 3/4 in.
