I’m still experimenting, getting used to drawing on sienna toned paper. Tonight, even though the model was not particularly inspiring, I found that it was possible to draw in the whole figure with a sienna colored conté pencil. This renders a very low contrast image which allows me to develop details from there. In this case, the head area, portrait style. The highlighted one here is an example of that approach.
